T4T – Your TIN* Telephone Support

Are you looking to get tested for HIV and other STIs, or would you like counseling on sexual health? Would you prefer to be supported by a trans person?

On the first Tuesday of every month, Noah offers telephone counseling from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. During the call, you can talk about anything and also book an appointment for the Checkpoint directly. This T4T (Trans for Trans) service is specifically for trans, intersex, and non-binary individuals who wish to receive counseling from a trans peer.

Here is what the process could look like for you:

You call us during the T4T phone hours.
At the beginning, you are welcome to share your pronouns and how you would like to be addressed. Providing a name is not necessary.
You have the space to share whatever is on your mind and ask any questions regarding sexual health, STIs, and prevention. Please note that you may be asked intimate questions, including questions about your body. This is solely to provide you with the best possible support and to help find the right tests for you. It is helpful if you answer honestly, but you can always choose not to answer a question, or ask about the specific reasoning behind it.
At the end of the call, you can book an appointment for one of our Saturday Checkpoints if you wish.
The Saturday Checkpoint is not exclusively for TIN (trans, intersex, non-binary) individuals, but the counselor on duty that day will know that you have already received your initial counseling, and our doctors are fully sensitized and trained.

Every third Saturday of the month, we offer testing for HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis. If needed, testing for Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C is also available, and a Hepatitis B antibody titer test can be performed.
