ADDRESS
Rohrbacher Straße 22
69115 Heidelberg
Location details: We are located in the rear building at Rohrbacher Straße 22: go through the metal gate next to the Darwisch restaurant and head to the back.
- How to get in: If the gate is not open, ring the doorbell for Aidshilfe and then gently push against the gate. The doorbells are on the wall to the right of the gate.
- How to get out: Press the gray switch on the wall to the left near the door to the restaurant (it looks like a light switch). Then pull the gate open slightly.

ACCESSIBILITY
The biggest barriers first: There are two steps leading into our office. Due to the building's architecture, installing a ramp is unfortunately not possible. Therefore, individuals using power wheelchairs generally cannot access our premises. Access with other mobility aids (including manual wheelchairs) is usually possible, and we are happy to assist!
Restrooms: One restroom is slightly wider and provides space for mobility aids, but it does not feature additional accessibility fittings.
- Unsure? Feel free to ask us.

BICYCLE PARKING
We have bicycle parking spaces in the inner courtyard that visitors are welcome to use. However, these spaces are limited. If no spaces are available, please use the public parking spaces in front of the gate. Please do not park bicycles against the walls, freestanding in the courtyard, or in front of the restaurant! It is important to us not to obstruct our neighbors and to keep the sidewalks clear for people using mobility aids or strollers.

PARKING CARS
Unfortunately, we cannot provide parking spaces. The parking situation in Heidelberg's Weststadt district is difficult: most parking spaces are reserved for residents only. We therefore recommend traveling without a car or parking outside the area and switching to public transport if possible.
Paid parking spaces are available (very limited!) for example on Bahnhofstraße or sporadically along Rohrbacher Straße (with parking ticket machines, some with a maximum parking duration of one hour). It is safer to use one of the parking garages in the city center (e.g., P1 Poststraße, P0 Am Bismarckplatz, or P17 Stadtbücherei); be sure to check their opening hours: Parking garages in Heidelberg.
Free parking spaces are available on Rohrbacher Straße near the Bergfriedhof cemetery, approx. 1 km away from Aidshilfe. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk or two to three stops by bus 29 (starting from the Weststadt/Südstadt or Bergfriedhof stop).
Are you restricted in your mobility and crucially reliant on driving right up to our front door? Please let us know as early as possible. We will find a solution!
