Honorary office - Volunteering
Without all the people who support us on a volunteer basis, we wouldn't be able to offer many of our programs. We are grateful for every single person who wants to become part of our team and thereby contribute to reducing discrimination and improving the social climate for people with HIV/AIDS.
We are constantly on the lookout for committed individuals of all ages.
- Are you motivated, creative, and open to new things?
- Are you looking for meaningful work?
- Would you like to meet new people?
...then you've come to the right place!
What can you do with us?
Many of our volunteers are part of a volunteer group:
- Buddy Group (Support for HIV-positive people and their relatives/partners)
- ÖAG (Public Relations Group: Planning and conducting prevention and information events)
- Gala Group (Planning the Star Gala at the Theater Heidelberg)
Maybe none of the volunteer groups fit you? No problem! There are many things and events where we need support. For example:
- Helping out at major events, such as the Star Gala or Christopher Street Day
- Distributing condoms at parties
- On the board of directors
- ...and much more
If you are unsure where you can best contribute your strengths, let's talk about it. We will certainly find a great spot for you.
- What we offer you...
- The opportunity to gain experience in a somewhat unconventional social field.
- Good support from full-time staff and a dedicated contact person.
- An individual preliminary talk about your strengths and expectations to find the exact right placement for you.
- The option to have expenses (e.g., travel costs, meals) reimbursed for assignments and group meetings.
- The opportunity to participate in internal and nationwide training courses.
- The possibility of membership in our association.
