Understanding PrEP

PrEP stands for Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis. It is a preventative medication taken by HIV-negative individuals to protect themselves from contracting HIV before any potential exposure occurs.

🛡️ Highly Effective: PrEP protects against HIV just as reliably as condoms or a partner's successful viral suppression therapy.
⚠️ Targeted Protection: PrEP protects you exclusively against HIV. It does not offer protection against other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) like chlamydia, gonorrhea, or syphilis.
