What We Offer (Selection)
The needs are determined by us and the responsible funding body, and are documented in the participation plan. The benefit recipient is involved in every single step and is always encouraged to express their own goals and wishes. The need for assistance and the progress made toward these goals are regularly reviewed by the funding body.
Possible Services (Selection):
- Intensive support in daily life
- Home visits, as well as accompaniment for grocery shopping, medical appointments, and official visits to authorities
- Assistance with applications (e.g., citizen's benefit/Bürgergeld, basic income support, rehabilitation, long-term care, severe disability status, assistive devices) and communication with authorities
- Support with financial matters (e.g., budgeting money, debt management)
- Support in stressful situations and crises, strengthening resilience, and developing coping strategies
- Support regarding healthcare, mobility, and social relationships
- Assistance with advance care planning (e.g., healthcare proxy, care directive, living will)
- Designing and organizing a daily routine
- Organizing group activities such as excursions, cooking clubs, and similar events
Where necessary, we work closely with other key people in your life and help you access additional support services, such as outpatient nursing services, meals on wheels, housekeeping help, emergency home call systems, legal guardianship, or specialized counseling centers.
Additional Professional Responsibilities:
The following are also part of the specialists' duties: documentation, travel times, team meetings, supervision, and continuous training.
What is NOT Included in Our Services (Selection): Nursing or medical tasks, duties of a legal guardian or an authorized representative under a healthcare proxy or living will, housekeeping/cleaning, purely transport or chauffeur services, and housing searches.
Individual Customization:
The intensity of the support (for example: How often and how long do we meet? What exact help is needed? What do we want to work on together?) is determined individually. It is based entirely on the needs and wishes of the benefit recipient. This means that everyone receives the exact help they need.
The staff at Aidshilfe carry out their appointments within the professional role of a primary support worker. During our contacts, the primary focus is on working together toward the agreed-upon goals. All parties involved contribute to a positive working environment. We regulate this cooperation through a formal support contract.
